A Message to our Customers

Our first and foremost hope for our customers is to feel our side of the Peruvain culture.  The Diaz family were all born and raised in Peru, each came at different times to the U.S., but each has stayed true to their roots and kept their family legacy going.  We all understand that trying new foods can be either exciting or nerve wreaking, depending on who you are, so we want to make you feel comfortable.  All of our staff is friendly, however not all of our staff has perfect english.  While they continue to learn the language, we ask that you be patient as they will with you, but if you do have a question in which you would need a quick answer to, ask a waiter or send us an email with an astrick on the subject line. Peru is most well known for their delicious and exoctic food choice and preparation and we have kept that theme for this restaurant.  We hope you enjoy your brunch, lunch, or dinner with us!

Andrea Diaz

Born and raised in Caja Marca Peru, Andrea came to the United States at the age of thirty-one with her teenage daughter and one goal, to pursue her dreams of becoming a restaurant owner and have a successful life for herself, but most importantly her kids.  Thirty-three years later, she is now the new owner of Mi Patria.

Alberto J. Huizar

Son of the restaurant owner, Andrea, Albert has always had a heart to cook and serve meals for everyone.  Learning only from his mom and family members, he is now able to help out Ms. Diaz make her dreams come into a reality.

Luis (Lucho) Diaz

Nephew of the restaurant owner and son of the original owner, Luis also grew up in Caja Marca.  Spending much of his adult life in the restaurnt business has helped him understand just how much love and effort needs to be put into each meal.  You can find him cooking and setting the plates while having different spanish songs playing in the background as his muse.
